Comparison

A Chatwait alternative that pays you to chat with AI.

Chatwait made a simple idea popular: earn a little money while ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini is busy writing your answer. PaidPrompt does the same job, with a few differences that matter. Here is an honest comparison.

What is Chatwait?

Chatwait is a browser extension that shows a small sponsored card while an AI chatbot writes its answer, and shares the ad money with you. According to its terms of service (October 2026), you earn 50% of the ad revenue for each qualified view, earnings are held for 30 days to catch fraud, and you can withdraw through Whop once you reach $10. You sign in with Google, and withdrawals happen on Chatwait's website dashboard.

It is a good idea, which is why "apps like Chatwait" has become something people search for. If you want to try something similar, or simply want a second option, PaidPrompt works the same way at its core and differs in the details below.

What PaidPrompt does

PaidPrompt is a free Chrome extension for ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. While the AI writes, one short line marked Ad appears just above the box you type in. If it stays on screen for 5 seconds, the view counts, and half of what the advertiser paid is added to your balance. The line stays until your next question, and you can hide it with × at any time.

It never reads your prompts or the AI's answers. It only looks at the page's layout: the Stop button, to know an answer is being written, and the prompt box, to know where to place the line. Every ad has an ⓘ that explains why you are seeing it.

Why people choose PaidPrompt

Cash out without leaving the extension

The PaidPrompt button shows your balance, what is still on hold, and today's views. Once $10 is ready, Cash out sends you a Whop link right there in the popup. There is no separate dashboard to log in to.

See earnings in your own money

Each line shows what that view earned in your local currency, for example "+Rs 0.28 earned" in Pakistan, so you always know what it is worth to you. Your balance and payouts stay in US dollars, which is what advertisers pay.

The ad never covers your conversation

PaidPrompt makes room for its line above the prompt box instead of placing it inside the chat. You get at most one paid view every 45 seconds and 60 a day, so it never takes over.

Clear rules and privacy first

How views are counted, the hold, the minimum and the daily limit are all written down. We keep only what running it needs: your email, your Google photo, your views and clicks, and a scrambled IP address to spot fraud. The privacy policy lists every item.

How much can you earn?

Honestly: small change, not an income. Each paid view earns you a fraction of a cent, and how much depends on what advertisers pay. The point is that you were going to wait for the AI anyway, and now that wait pays you something. Be careful with any app that promises big monthly earnings for using AI.

How to switch from Chatwait

  1. Add PaidPrompt from the Chrome Web Store. It is free.
  2. Sign in: click the PaidPrompt button in your toolbar and choose Continue with Google.
  3. Chat as usual on ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. The first line appears with your next answer.

If you also keep Chatwait installed, you will see two ads while the AI writes. Most people keep one switched on; you can pause PaidPrompt from its button whenever you like.

Frequently asked questions

Is PaidPrompt a free Chatwait alternative?

Yes. PaidPrompt is free to install and use. Advertisers pay for the short line you see, and you get half of what they pay.

Is PaidPrompt part of Chatwait?

No. PaidPrompt is an independent extension. It is not made by, endorsed by or affiliated with Chatwait.

Does PaidPrompt read my chats?

No. It only looks at the page's layout: the Stop button, to know an answer is being written, and the box you type in, to know where the line goes. Your prompts and the AI's answers never leave your browser.

How do I cash out?

Earnings are held for 30 days so fraud can be caught. Once $10 is ready, press Cash out in the extension: you get a Whop link, collect it with a free Whop account, and withdraw to your bank, wallet or crypto.

Does it work in Pakistan and India?

Yes. PaidPrompt works wherever Chrome does, and shows what each view earned in your own currency, such as rupees in Pakistan and India. Payouts go through Whop, which pays out in most countries.

Can I use PaidPrompt and Chatwait together?

You can install both, but each would show its own ad while the AI writes, so most people keep one switched on. You can pause PaidPrompt from its toolbar button at any time.

Chatwait is a trademark of its owner. PaidPrompt is independent and is not affiliated with Chatwait, OpenAI, Anthropic or Google. We compared publicly available information; if anything here is out of date, email us at hello@paidprompt.online and we will correct it.
