Comparison

A Slice alternative that pays you while AI answers.

Slice pays you for ads on the websites you browse. PaidPrompt pays you for one small ad in a single place: while ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini writes your answer. Here is how the two compare, and when each one makes sense.

What is Slice?

Slice ("You browse. We pay.", at addslice.com) is a Chrome extension that adds small ads to the websites you visit and rewards you for every ad you see. Rewards are counted in "Slices" and, according to its Chrome Web Store listing (October 2026), can be cashed out through PayPal, Bitcoin Lightning or Bitrefill gift cards, with payout limits kept low. The listing also says that during its beta, Slice passes 100% of the ad money to users.

Slice is popular, with around 70,000 users and a 4.3 rating from about 2,000 reviews. Because it works across all of your browsing, its store listing declares that it collects web history, website content, location and user activity. That trade is fine for some people; others search for apps like Slice that ask for less.

How PaidPrompt is different

PaidPrompt is a free Chrome extension that does one thing: while ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini is writing, it shows one short line marked Ad just above the box you type in. If the line stays on screen for 5 seconds, the view counts and half of what the advertiser paid goes to you. Nowhere else on the web does PaidPrompt run at all.

On those three sites it still never reads your prompts or the AI's answers. It only looks at the page's layout: the Stop button, to know an answer is being written, and the prompt box, to know where the line goes. Every ad has an ⓘ that explains why you are seeing it.

When PaidPrompt is the better choice

You spend your day in AI chats

If ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini is where your time goes, that is exactly where PaidPrompt pays. The wait for an answer was already there; now it earns you something.

You want ads in one predictable place

PaidPrompt never touches the other sites you visit. One line appears while an answer is written, at most one paid view every 45 seconds and 60 a day, and it never covers the conversation.

You would rather not share your browsing

PaidPrompt does not collect web history or the content of the pages you read. We keep only what payments and fraud checks need, and the privacy policy lists every item in plain words.

You want earnings in your own money

Each line shows what that view earned in your local currency, such as "+Rs 0.28 earned" in Pakistan, and your balance and Cash out button live right in the extension.

When Slice may suit you better

To be fair: if you want rewards from all of your browsing, prefer PayPal or gift cards, or want to withdraw very small amounts, Slice covers that, and its beta share is higher. Because the two pay in different places, many people can simply run both.

How much can you earn?

Honestly: small change, not an income. Each paid view earns you a fraction of a cent, depending on what advertisers pay. It adds up because it pays for time you were spending anyway. Be careful with any app that promises big monthly earnings for browsing or chatting.

How to start with PaidPrompt

  1. Add PaidPrompt from the Chrome Web Store. It is free.
  2. Sign in: click the PaidPrompt button in your toolbar and choose Continue with Google.
  3. Chat as usual on ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. The first line appears with your next answer.

Frequently asked questions

Is PaidPrompt a free Slice alternative?

Yes. PaidPrompt is free to install and use. Advertisers pay for the short line you see, and you get half of what they pay.

Is PaidPrompt part of Slice?

No. PaidPrompt is an independent extension. It is not made by, endorsed by or affiliated with Slice or its developer.

Does PaidPrompt track my browsing?

No. It only runs on ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, and even there it never reads your chats. It looks at the page's layout to know when an answer is being written and where the box you type in sits.

How do I cash out?

Earnings are held for 30 days so fraud can be caught. Once $10 is ready, press Cash out in the extension: you get a Whop link, collect it with a free Whop account, and withdraw to your bank, wallet or crypto.

Can I use Slice and PaidPrompt together?

Yes. Slice pays for ads on the websites you browse, and PaidPrompt for one line while an AI chat answers, so they can run side by side. If both ever show an ad on the same page, you can pause either one.

Does PaidPrompt work in Pakistan and India?

Yes. PaidPrompt works wherever Chrome does, and shows what each view earned in your own currency, such as rupees in Pakistan and India. Payouts go through Whop, which pays out in most countries.
